All is now set for the inauguration of the 10 National Assembly.
The proceedings at the Senate and House of Reps are underway at the moment.
In the upper chamber, the ruling party is rooting for former Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswill Akpabio.
Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodinma, is optimistic that Akpabio, will emerge as the next President of the Nigerian Senate.
Uzodinma made the assertion on Monday after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, shortly after the Democracy Day celebrations.
For Akpabio, he is promising a united 10th Senate under his leadership.
But Akpabio faces stiff opposition from former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulazeez Yari.
Yari seems to have the support of some Senators including Senator Orji Uzor Kalu who many tip to become Deputy Senate President if Yari gets the nod.
