Tennis star Offiong Edem says traveling early to Tokyo is key to enhancing the chances of success for Nigeria's athletes at the Olympic Games.
The games begin on July 23 in the Japanese capital after a year delay due to the Covid 19 pandemic, with Nigeria having representation from multiple sports.
Offiong is one of those representatives and is set for her fourth Olympics after competing in the 2004, 2012 and 2016 games.
Speaking in an exclusive Interview on Nigeria Info's Game On, the multiple-time gold medallist at the All African games revealed the importance of arriving Japan several weeks before the Olympic games commence as acclimatization is key - stating that this Saturday has been picked for their departure from Nigeria.
