President Bola Tinubu has sent a list of 28 nominees to the Senate for screening and consideration as ministers in his cabinet.
The president’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, delivered the list to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, at Thursday's plenary.
Prominent among the nominees are former governors Nyesom Wike, Nasir El-Rufai, and David Umahi.
Others are the acting APC chairman, Abba Kyari, Senator John Enoh, Hon. Nkiru Onyejiocha, and Dele Alake.
Abubakar Momoh, Ambassador Yusuf Tukur, Ahmed Dangiwa, Hannatu Musawa, Uche Nnaji, Berta Edu, Dorris Uzoka, and Wale Edun also made the list.
Senator Akpabio read the letter from the president and said the list was not exhaustive as more names will be sent to the Senate for confirmation in due course.
