Rangers International of Enugu have won the 2023/2024 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.
The Enugu club defeated Bendel Insurance of Benin 2-0 on Sunday to clinch their eighth league title.
The first goal came in the 32nd minute through a free kick by Kenechukwu Agu with the home team sealing their victory with a Ikenna Nwobodo goal in the 64th minute.
Rangers won the league on 67 points with a match to go, five points ahead of second-placed Remo Stars.
The Flying Antelopes had previously won Nigeria’s top-flight football league in 1974, 1975, 1977, 1981, 1982, 1984, and 2016.
