And so the wait goes on...
The ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) enters its fourth week with still no resolution in sight.
With the academic body on Monday reiterating that "the only option is continued industrial action until everything is sorted out", Joyce Onyemuwa asks on Sunny Side; "What to do at this point: get a skill or wait to go back to school?"
"Education is life, no nation will develop without education," said one caller.
He added, "skill is just to survive but education is advancing to bring light to generations, our leaders want to kill that dream of ordinary citizens."
So wait on ASUU then?
"I can't imagine having a child and looking at them turn 18, 19, 20, 25, 28 at home, and ASUU is still on strike," frowned Joyce.
"Just reading the news frustrates me, at what point is there going to be a showdown? Lives are fading away," she added.
