Cristiano Ronaldo has been the subject of discussion in the aftermath of Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Tottenham.
The Portuguese walked down the tunnel in the 89th minute while the game against Spurs was still on.
As a result of that, Manchester United released a statement on Thursday to confirm he had been dropped from the squad to face Chelsea at the weekend.
Further reports from other sources revealed that he will be training alone for the meantime as manager Erik ten Hag looks to stamp his authority on the team.
This incident was the topic of discussion on Game on, on 99.3 Nigeria Info FM.
Sportscaster Adaeze Micheal reacted to the news stating that Ronaldo actions were totally petulant, unacceptable, selfish and wicked.
“Ronaldo has set high standards for himself, arguably the greatest of all time but he is finding it difficult to accept his decline” she says.
She also added that Erik ten Hag has shown he is no pushover like some other managers so it was no surprise he got punished.
