AS Roma on Wednesday night, defeated Feyenoord 1-0 to win the UEFA Europa Conference League, the club’s first trophy in 14 years.

Nicolo Zaniolo scored the only in the 32nd minute after the Feyenoord defence failed to clear a cross from Gianluca Mancini.

Feyenoord dominated the game for large spells but failed to get the equaliser with Roma Goalkeeper, Rui Patricio making some impressive saves.

Samuel Victor Akpan and Sarafina Napoleon were live on Football Frenzy on 99.3 Nigeria Info FM and they shared their thoughts on the victory for AS Roma.

Sarafina was full of praise for Jose Mourinho who showed once again that he doesn’t lose European finals. The Portuguese has now won all five European finals he has coached in.

For losing finalists, Feyenoord, she believes they lacked the winning mentality on the night as they missed glaring opportunities that came their way.

In summary, she says Jose’s winning mentality in finals was the difference between the two sides.
