The Governing Council of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) in Bauchi state has dismissed a lecturer for alleged sexual harassment.
The university found Dr. Usman Aliyu guilty of harassing a married female postgraduate student, according to the institution's spokesperson, Alhaji Zailani Bappa.
“The dismissal was in accordance with Chapter 3, item f, i, (o) of the Senior Staff Conditions of Service of the University," Bappa said.
“In view of this, he has been directed to hand over all the property of the university in his possession to his Head of Department and his identification card to the Chief Security Officer of the University."
