The Lagos Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, has inaugurated a committee to investigate the death of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
Mohbad’s father, grandmother, and other family members were present for the inauguration of the committee on Monday.
The setting up of the committee comes amid outcry from his fans who allege that he might have been poisoned by the owners of the record label he was signed to.
The spokesman of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Muyiwa Adejobi, on Monday assured Nigerians that Mohbad’s alleged killers won’t go unpunished.
The 27-year-old died on 12 September as he was undergoing treatment for an infection.
