Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has entered a plea of not guilty to the three-count charge brought against him by the EFCC.

Cubana Chief Priest took his plea when he appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

During the proceedings, the presiding judge granted bail to the accused in the sum of 10 million naira.

Okechukwu is to provide two responsible sureties who are gainfully employed in either Federal or State Government roles, and who possess landed property.

Additionally, he  must surrender his international passport as part of the bail conditions.

Cubana Chief Priest was subsequently released into the custody of his lawyer, who provided an undertaking to ensure his appearance in court and to perfect his bail within seven days.

Justice Ogundare cautioned that failure to meet these conditions would result in the accused being remanded in a correctional facility.
