President Bola Tinubu has directed the withdrawal of the nomination of Imam Kashim Imam for the chairman position of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) board.
A Thursday statement from the president’s special adviser on media & publicity pointed out that the withdrawal was with ‘immediate effect.’
Ajuri Ngelale said all the other appointments to the board and executive management team of FERMA were unaffected.
There was a furor in some parts of Nigeria when the 24-year-old Imam was nominated for the FERMA board chairman position.
Some commentators said he was inexperienced and too young while others argued in favor of his youthfulness.
