Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is close to moving to Manchester United from Real Madrid with reports stating that both clubs have all but agreed a €60m fee with €10m add-ons.
With the deal nearing completion, Adaeze Michael and Hodovai Ekpe-Iko speaking on Game On on 99.3 Nigeria Info FM shared their thoughts on the transfer.
Adaeze Michael believes Casemiro brings the much-needed steel and defensive abilities to the Manchester United midfield, adding that for that price Real Madrid will be making a lot of profit.
Hodovai on the other hand isn’t impressed with Manchester United’s recruitment strategy.
Even though he knows Casemiro walks into the United 11, Hodovai states that United are once again going for older players while other top clubs are signing talents for now and the future.
He adds that Real Madrid have already replaced Casemiro (30) with Aurelien Tchouameni who is just 22 and also have Eduardo Camavinga (19) in their ranks.
