The Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has adjourned to November 7 to allow lawyers to adopt their addresses in a suit filed by the PDP against INEC, APC, and its governorship candidate, Tonye Cole.
The PDP is asking INEC to disqualify Mr. Cole, claiming that the delegates that voted at the primary election that brought in the candidate were not democratically elected.
Justice Emmanuel Obile adjourned the case on Monday after the lawyer to Mr. Cole informed the court that additional documents, filed by the PDP’s lawyers have been served to him.
The prosecution and defence teams were therefore directed to ensure service and responses on or before the next adjourned date to enable the court to conclude on the written addresses.
