President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver a nationwide address on Wednesday at 7 a.m. to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day, the presidency announced on Tuesday.
A statement from Bayo Onanuga, the president's special adviser on information and strategy, urged all television, radio, and electronic media to join the network broadcasts from the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).
In his previous Independence Day speeches, Tinubu has focused on economic reforms, social welfare, energy transition, and national unity.
The 2025 theme, “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation,” emphasizes the need for collective responsibility across government, civil society, and citizens.
