Three Arrested, Cattle and Weapons Seized in Daring Ondo Rustling Raid

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested three suspects following a violent robbery and cattle rustling attack at a ranch in Okeigbo.

The ranch owner, Abdullahi, reported that armed men stormed his property in a commando-style raid, stealing cattle and seriously injuring him and his son with machetes.

Acting swiftly, police deployed intelligence-led operations and tactical response teams, recovering the stolen cattle, weapons, and the suspects’ vehicle in Ondo City.

The complainant’s stolen motorcycle was also recovered.

Commissioner of Police Adebowale Lawal praised the officers for their quick, professional response, affirming the command’s commitment to maintaining security during the festive season and beyond.

He directed all divisional officers to stay alert and maintain robust security coverage across the state.

CP Lawal also acknowledged the support of Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, whose reforms have strengthened policing effectiveness in Ondo.

The police urged residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and cooperate with security agencies to ensure a safer community.
