Callers on Nigeria Info's Hello Port Harcourt vented their frustration about the lack of change in the price, quality, or quantity of goods and services.
This comes despite the Naira's steady rise against the Dollar in the foreign exchange market.
Sharing their experiences regarding service adjustments in parts of Port Harcourt, one caller expressed sadness over the decline in both the quality and quantity of goods and services. According to them, life expectancy has also been affected by the economic situation.
"We are just the problem ourselves...it's very bad," another caller said.
He blamed Nigerians for the high prices of goods and services amid the consistent gains of the Naira.
However, this last caller had a different perspective about the drop in the quality of goods and services while prices remained high.
He accused the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), the body responsible for standardising and regulating the quality of all products in Nigeria, of failing to carry out checks to prevent the artificial hike in the prices of goods and services.
