The police have confirmed that kidnapped female journalist, Priestba Wokocha has regained her freedom.
The spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe Koko, made this known to Nigeria Info.
Family sources say Mrs. Wokocha was freed early Thursday morning.
The director of news at the Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation was kidnapped by gunmen on her way from work around Golf Estate Highway, Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt, on Thursday last week.
Her captors demanded N150 million ransom, but later reduced it to N10 million, following several calls for her unconditional release.
It's unclear if any ransom was paid.
