It is now confirmed that ShopRite shall exit Kano State totally with its doors shut against customers after trading activities on 14 January 2024.
The Kano branch manager, Itopa Samuel, confirmed this to Nigeria Info/Wazobia FM on Friday but declined to give further details.
He clarified that the store was only leaving Kano and not the rest of Nigeria.
According to him, discounts have been placed on the items to hasten the trading off of the goods.
Nigeria Info/Wazobia FM noticed a few customers who sauntered in to purchase goods.
We were not allowed to speak to the customers because the branch had not gotten clearance to allow the press to do that at the time of this report Friday afternoon.
