The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has moved to reiterate strongly its stand on its reported working relationship with the Chairman of Lagos State Parks Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo) ahead of the general election.
This clarification was made on Whaats Up Lagos by Adenike Oriowo, Lagos State Public Affairs Officer for the electoral body.
Speaking to Mary-Ann Duke Okon and Stretch on INEC's preparedness for the elections, she debunked claims that MC Oluomo has been engaged for the smooth distribution of election materials for the polls.
"We are not working at any point with MC Oluomo; the movement of materials has been deployed to the necessary authorities which are our electoral officers at the various local government office of the commission at the LGA level.
"They know the people on ground, including the car owners and bus drivers better," she stressed.
Speaking further on personnel for the elections, Adenike explains why INEC can't for now change the inability of party agents as well as essential service workers to participate in the polls.
