"Mr President is being misled by certain incompetent managers that he appointed."

This is the position of a lecturer of Politics and Governance, Prof. Kenneth Nweke, who was sharing his thoughts on the 'no work, no pay' policy of the federal government, and the half salaries paid to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities after the suspension of their strike.

Prof. Nweke told Ifiemi Andrew on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire that the President would be held responsible for the current situation in federal universities because he appointed Ministers that advise him.

“…when you want to appoint Ministers of Education… you need to look at people who are competent, who understand you know, the workings of the system,” he said.
