An Ogoni stakeholder, Dr Douglas Fabeke, has queried the United Nations Environment Programme, UNEP, over its current stance on the Ogoni clean-up process.
Dr Fabeke told Ifiemi Andrew on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire, that the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project, HYPREP, which was set up as part of the programmes aimed at restoring all hydrocarbon impacted communities and sites, has failed.
“I am going back to UNEP to tell them the truth, I have been there before, and UNEP seems to be distant from what is happening in Ogoni, why?” he asked.
