A hospital management consultant, Andy Akpotive, has broken down the importance of having steady power supply in Nigerian teaching hospitals.

Mr Akpotive who was a guest on Nigeria Info’s Morning Crossfire with Enoh Ogbevire, noted that power supply is a big issue that affects “virtually all the departments” in a hospital.

He also explained that the absence of steady electricity has adverse effects on the disposition of doctors and the attitude of other hospital staff.

Mr Akpotive stressed that addressing the challenges federal teaching hospitals in the country grapple with would require having persons who can provide solutions, with the right attitude and capacity.
