The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) went tough at the weekend as it issued the Nigerien military coupists a seven-day ultimatum to release and reinstate President Mohammed Bazoum.
The ECOWAS Heads of State, led by Nigeria's Bola Tinubu, threatened to use force if Niger's military rulers fail to reinstate President Bazoum.
Back home, President Tinubu ordered a probe into the management of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited.
